Even basic amenities felt lacking, as the hotel seemed understaffed and not entirely prepared for guests.

The hotel is a beautifully restored 15th-century noble palace, featuring stunningly high ceilings and spacious rooms. I was completely enamored by the magnificent dining experience during breakfast, served in an elegant room adorned with artwork that genuinely elevated the mood of our mornings. Each room offers amazing views over the ancient landscape, allowing us to wake up every day to a picturesque backdrop that felt like we were living in a painting.

I recently stayed for 2 nights and was enamored by the breathtaking views from the terrace, which provided a stunning panorama of Matera, especially at sunset. The elegant breakfast room, with its apricot-colored plastered walls, felt inviting and the breakfast itself was good. Although the setup of the bathroom could be improved, particularly with the shower, the spaciousness of my junior suite made me feel right at home.
